Biography
Hi, I am a professional photographer, living in Herefordshire, UK.
I started my career as a graphic designer for newspapers but after a few years I felt the need to fulfil my desire to be out and about and capturing images with a different format. I started doing press photography for the local papers and moved to London work from there. Gaining experience with weddings, portfolios and P.R. along the way.
After leaving the London scene together with the functions, magazines and darkroom, I got married, had a family and put my career on hold. During this time, I trained as a Reiki Healer and Indian Head masseur (a huge interest of mine since being a teenager). I became fascinated with the human and plant energy systems. One of my other huge passions has always been the plant kingdom. Flowers act as a prism which reflect healing rays into our own bodies. I wanted to find a way to project this into my work and was lucky enough when, five years ago I decided to go digital, my first project was to produce a set of Chakra images. Each chakra was created from photographing a flower that I felt resonated with the chakra…..the rest is history.
My images then started to sell to retail outlets. Producing hand finished cards, canvas prints, posters etc. I also run courses and private tuition for digital photography and photo editing.
The most important things to me are my family, friends, Rufus my Tibetan terrier, the countryside and to always have an open mind... to keep learning and teaching and to always have a camera ready!
